I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes the sound of a sax. but his "Crescent with Love" album, is sometimes criminally overlooked. 8. Pharoah Sanders possesses one of the most distinctive tenor saxophone sounds in jazz. Harmonically rich and heavy with overtones, Sanders' sound can be as raw and abrasive as it is possible for a saxophonist to produce. Yet, Sanders is highly regarded to .
  9. Crescent was Coltrane’s ninth album for Impulse!, the jazz division of ABC/Paramount that he quit Atlantic for, in Featuring his so-called classic quartet (Tyner, Garrison, Jones), it.
